Micro Mobility / Regulation

The e-scooter management authorization certificate was given to 5 companies by the Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure. To obtain a certificate of authorization, companies must have a minimum of 250 scooters, a capital of 500 thousand Turkish liras, appropriate website and mobile applications, and quality certificates.

EV Distributor / Borusan

Borusan Otomotiv, which includes BMW, BMW Motorrad, and MINI brands under its roof, is taking the field to play a leading role in Turkey with its electric models. The company's brands will consist of at least 50 % electric models by 2030. In addition, they aim to lead the electric automotive industry to encourage the use of electric vehicles.

SGMS company based in Konya won the tender for 60 pieces 4-seat electric vehicle, organized by Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality in May for the municipality of Prince islands. The tender for 45 new electric vehicles for 14 seats each, which was held in June was postponed to a later date due to the lack of participants.

At the meeting held by the IMM Transportation Coordination Center, the regulation determining the use and control of electric scooters was unanimously accepted. At the meeting, details such as how the scooters will be inspected and how many scooters will be found in which district in Istanbul have become clear. Anyone must be at least 15 years old to use a scooter. The scooters are banned from being used on sidewalks.

Our aim here is to be one of the important business partners of TOGG on the technology side with the solutions and services we will develop in the field of mobility. In the e-mobility platform to be developed by TOGG, we will play an active role in the internet of things, artificial intelligence, in-car entertainment and payment systems.
